03Six ways to participate

Fortify.

Human capacities, relationships, and freedoms.

Fortify what allows Humans to participate fully in their own lives, the systems they encounter, and the society they experience.

Identify what needs fortifying

Protect and develop what must remain Human.

Fortifying is both protective and developmental. It asks what must not be diminished, displaced, or surrendered—and what needs practice, support, relationship, and use in order to become stronger. It does not resist change for its own sake. It ensures that Human participation does not disappear inside it.

SELF

Exercise your Human capacities.

Participate in what you think, feel, do, have, and are. Capacities become more available through conscious use.

SYSTEM

Protect Human participation.

Evaluate whether a system develops Human capacity and relationship—or quietly replaces, narrows, or erodes them.

SOCIETY

Protect lived freedom.

Fortify the conditions that allow Humans to exercise meaningful agency, participation, expression, relationship, and possibility.

Name what matters.

  1. What Human capacity needs practice or protection?
  2. What relationship deserves greater attention?
  3. Where is a freedom being exercised, restricted, or eroded?

Fortify what enables Humans to remain participants—not merely subjects, users, workers, consumers, or data.
