02Six ways to participate

Move.

Intellectually, emotionally, creatively, and socially.

Movement begins when a question, idea, story, encounter, or experience changes what you notice, feel, imagine, discuss, or are prepared to do.

Notice what moves you

Let something matter enough to move you.

Movement is not limited to physical action. A mind can change direction. A feeling can become impossible to ignore. An idea can enter conversation. Creative expression can make another possibility perceptible. Social movement can begin wherever Human attention and response begin to travel.

SELF

Notice what moves within you.

Recognize the thought, feeling, desire, resistance, or possibility asking for your attention and participation.

SYSTEM

Find where movement is needed.

Notice where a system has become fixed, stalled, unresponsive, or disconnected from the Humans who encounter it.

SOCIETY

Let movement travel.

Carry ideas, stories, questions, and creative work into relationship, conversation, and collective life.

Notice the movement.

  1. What is moving me right now?
  2. What has remained stuck or unmoved?
  3. Where could my response create meaningful movement?

You do not have to know the destination before acknowledging that something has moved.
